It's better she be isolated in a place where proper care is available, than in a place where care is difficult, if not downright unsafe.

I might not have been in clear in what i meant. And it seems as though we are saying the same thing.

I meant, with lockdown Mum might be isolated at home, alone and therefore better off in residential care (with support on hand). Although, acknowledging that residential care might have other issues such as higher instances of covid.
