Had a phone call the quetiapine is being upped to twice a day to give it a try. They day hospital has noticed he can be ok for a short while then gets agitated. The quetiapine only lasts on him for 4 hrs so morning and evening is covered. The doctor is checking him out on Friday at the day hospital. So the next few days will see. The change in him the last three months has been dramatic. This has all happened since he had the seizure.

Thanks all i need it. The quetiapine didn't seem to work tonight we tried it when the carer was in to see. He still got agitated and wanted me all the time. I might be getting refered to a specialist for my leg so i don't no what is going to happen now. Will no more week today. I give the carer his due he is coming back tomorrow and is not giving up. My son and i are going to try and go out tomorrow and leave my husband and carer to see how it goes. If this fails i don't no what will happen. Although tonight hubby was wandering he said where is he i asked him who he tried to say the carers name perhaps its a good sign.

CHIP.,so feel for you , having been through all this , one thing may work , changing the carer to a female , my husband had a male carer from buddys , that was an age concern group , things went well for 2 yrs untill jelousy set in , then no males where allowed over the doorstep , the females was ok. from crossroads , untill later in the illness ,then he would not let anyone stay unless i was sat by his side , you need to try everything , but the goalposts keep moving .
good luck. ANGELA.

He went for another patient today at the day hospital. He has been taken into hospital again. I got a phone call to take clothes in for him. They had to sedate him when he got there. I don't no yet if he has an infection or whats going to happen now. I've been told to relax and get out and about.

Dear chip, I`m really sorry. You are both going through such a dreadful time.

I suppose if your husband`s in hospital, it`s a bit less responsibility for you, but to advise you to relax and get out isn`t giving any acknowledgement of what you`re going through.

I sincerely hope the situation improves.

Love xx
