I am imagining a place with separate bungalows (with gardens) for my mother and myself, not next door to each other but near enough for daily visits, a communal (but not compulsory) dining-room, shop, visiting library, hairdresser, chiropodist, aromatherapy, public transport etc. I am sure such places exist, it's a question of find one that would suit both of us and that we'd be able to afford.
