I haven't posted for ages but mums deteriation has been quick she is 55
hello H_eclair, this has also been amongst the saddest weeks of my life .My husband is 53 and has also deteriorated very quickly. This week ,due to his swallowing difficulties and crackly breathing has been put on a puree diet, no thin liquids, not food that is not in puree form, which he will not eat. He is skin and bone now and getting weaker day by day. I know now that things are getting pretty serious and I'm sad and scared. I don't know what your situation is and I hope I haven't made you feel worse.........so I'll just say we're in the same boat and I think it's probably sink or swim time for both of us.................Take a deep breath and try to keep on going................Daizee
Bless you Daizee, for finding that extra ounce of courage to comfort someone else in the middle of your own terrible situation.
I take my hat off to you, and I know Gill would be SO proud of you.
h_eclair and Daizee,
Thinking of both of you. You know you have friends here if you need them.
