Hello All,I can only give you our own experience coping with A.D.

My wife was just 54 and that is us going on 9 years with it, for the first 6 years we managed to cope ourselves, without going for any help, then she reached a stage of it when all the verbal violence and aggresion came, and she was prescibed the dreaded Anti- Phsycotic drug Haloperidol or HALDOL,for the first few weeks it worked wonders, then we noticed it was turning her into a Zombie like state, now looking back that was one of the BIG mistakes,as we were making her confused state even worse, but we were so desperate at the time, now she is on 1(one) 5 Mg of Diazepam morning and night, and when she is becoming a bit agaitated during daytime we give her an exta one,and thankfully it works for her,now touching wood she is doing great, and we even managed to take her on a weeks holiday to Spain with us, and all went very well..
