Thank you nitram and TPtest3 and those unidentified for your hard work
2jays - Nitram is TPtest 3! It’s a name he adopted when we were doing the testing and did this talking to himself then too!
I’m wondering ............ !
No, you ‘re not a robot are you Nitram?!

The trouble is I’m getting alerts for all these!

I'm investigating watched threads alerts.
  • They regularly fail if the recipient is logged out
  • @jugglingmum and myself are having problems even when not logged out but with the browser closed.
  • When logged out the members name vanishes from https://forum.alzheimers.org.uk/online/?type=registered immediately.
  • When logged in with browser closed the name vanishes from this list after 15 minutes.
  • The 'just trying something' post was with the recipient logged in and browser open. The 5,10,15,20 posts were times in approx minutes after closing the browser and staying logged in. to see if any caused caused an alert. Only 'just trying something' did,I read this alert as only the first alert shows until the thread is read
  • On the ones that did not give you an alert. Were you logged on? Did you have your browser open?
The only reliable way of checking 'Watched Threads' seems to be to go to https://forum.alzheimers.org.uk/watched/threads

Ah now I understand.
I never log out and the TP site is always at the top of my iPad when I tap on Safari. Anything else I use Safari for is an additional site on the top bar and not instead of TP.
However I do flit from here to FB and other things, returning here every so often when I’m using the iPad - which is a lot!

I have noticed that I miss some red flag alerts too. As my usual route when coming here is to tap on Recent Posts I haven’t found it much of a problem though. The only two email alerts I have selected seem to work ok.

I have noticed that I miss some red flag alerts too.

The only flag alerts that I know I have missed have been watched thread, quotes, mentions, and tags do not seem to be affected.

I do not get an email if an alert for a watched thread is missed, otherwise emails work as expected.

Relying on watched threads is worst than useless, as I said much better to go to https://forum.alzheimers.org.uk/watched/threads

Seeing as it seems that every time I post on a thread the box at the bottom is ticked for an alert, I have to say I’m rather glad I don’t get a red flag for them all!

Yes, I get a free flag for mentions too. Not sure about the others but probably so.

Edited post

Could have moved me to to above....

Easier if photo could be where I planned to put it and not have to fiddle around... :)

I can insert images

P1010669.JPG

anywhere in a post

L'aire s'ouvre winter 2016.jpg

with no problem, just by placing the cursor each time before I click on thumbnail or full image
