wow thats was good like the pianist with dementia, it seems automatic by association. the lady had incredibly long hands and fingers. ive seen the ballet on the stage
That was so moving, and she can still do it, the expressions and use of her hands were exquisite.
And me.
This is a wake up call for those who say people with dementia are lost to them. It may seem like that but if we are lucky enough to find the trigger we can be reassured they are still there, just on a different wave length.
Also had me crying, my mum did ballet and theatre, her starring role was Louise in Carousel. I have heaps of video clips of her on my mobile dancing to various classics. She was a Keep Fit Instructor with a live pianist in the seventies, which morphed into Aerobics with a boom box in the 80's & 90's. These days we do YouTube workouts, mum can't follow the instructors but happily does her own routine.
