Well I have been dieting since 2nd October and it's going really well

I have started walking too and today I did my longest walk 5.4miles

I was so blessed to see a deer and to manage to get a photo of it

I think it's a Roe Deer

That is a beautiful photograph Sarah.

You have done so well on your diet, and all that walking must improve your health. Keep going :)

Loved the photo. Best wishes with the diet and your walking programme.

I was never stupid about eating and I always did some exercise but am ashamed to say 18 months ago I'd got to the stage where I could only squeeze myself into one skirt

I now do around 100 minutes of walking each day. The walking plus a few small diet "tweaks" has helped me lose nearly 1.5 stones:D and it really wasn't too painful a process.

Lovely pic, a roe hind (as in a female deer, should be a doe like in the song, doe a deer a female deer..) you were lucky to get close enough for long enough to take the picture, I've had never had one stand still long enough, they're usually too timid.

Doesn't matter Sarah, you'll probably be so active on your holiday you'll lose a pound of two without even trying! Hope you have a wonderful time. More photos please if you have any spare minutes to take them :D.

Enjoy your holiday and worry about your eating when you get home. So, you put on a couple of pounds ... Not the end of the world, you can sort that quickly when you're at home. Enjoy :)

I am as happy as a pig in muck just had a bowl of porridge to warm me up better than cake! But not as tasty but comforting beautiful beaches and lots of bird watching and walking

Oo - pigs. I love pigs. :) I wouldn't get too close to them (a friend from YF lost a finger to a pig) but I do find them restful in a strange way.
