some time ago I posted for advice on whether to let Social Services into our lives as they have suffered bad press locally. Those of you kind enough to reply advised me to contact them, reminding me that I can say no at any point. I took the advice and have found nothing but positive responses from the service. I thank you all. This site is the most reliable place to find help from people ‘on the ground floor’ —giving a difficult job our best try. So many times I have found that people on the outside, sadly even relatives and friends, have no idea of the sharp learning curve we stagger along as carers. you are a wonderful band of people. I thank you all. ✅✅❤️

This forum was a lifesaver for me when I found it 14 years ago, as it has been for so many others. What was a great relief for me was finding people who absolutely understood how I felt.
