Hi,

I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who replied to me. It is a big help knowing that there are people that care and also know what I am going through.

I went to see Mum yesterday morning and I spoke to her about seeing the doctor, and she agreed, which is good. So I am going to phone them and get an appointment, then hopefully we can get some help, because we need it.

I still hate leaving her on her own and still feel guilty, but I suppose that is a normal feeling?

You have perfectly normal feelings Michele, as you realize how vulnerable your mother is becoming. But you will be there when needed and you have encouraged her to see her GP, and will be going with her, so you are doing as much as you can for the present.
