Evening all, My dad has mixed Dementia diagnosed last year. His mum and brother both had dementia and sadly past away. I am a little concerned myself. Although I am not showing any signs but concerned whether I will get it, is there any tests that I can do to see if I have the likely to get it, is it a gene thing?

Hello, the short answer to your question is that there can be a genetic factor. However, the matter is quite complex and the risk factor may be small.
If you are concerned a visit to the GP would be the first step.
