Technology to monitor people with dementia at home

    Looks good on paper but I wonder how many areas will roll it out if it becomes available.

    I can just see my wife fiddling with, and breaking, anything that's installed in our home. I think that may be the biggest hurdle to overcome.

    Might be a little bit helpful for pwds who have a lot of input from carers who can act on the warning signs.....but what about those who are largely on their own? Even if the GP was alerted automatically to rising bp etc, they're not really going to rush people round to check without 'the crisis' happening. The need is for more bodies on the ground, not more tech......think sometimes they come up with these wonderful solutions just because they can, not because they have any idea about the real problems of living with dementia
