We are looking to develop a group in Dorset for LGBT people who are affected by dementia.

A Support Services Manager and Development Officer from Alzheimer's Society are meeting with John who runs the Silver Moment group in Bournemouth on 25 June to see how we might be able to work in partnership to deliver this service. We will look at what we can do in the Bournenouth and Poole area as well as in the county of Dorset - possibly setting up a group that will meet in Dorchester.

If anybody would like to contribute to the planning of this, or feed in ideas as to what support we could offer, please contact Jo Taswell on 07595 271424 or email jo.taswell@alzheimers.org.uk.

We will also be looking for volunteers to support any new service that we open - if this is something you might be interested in please also contact Jo using the details above. Any new services will be dependent on funding which will need to be identified. We can apply for this once we have decided how the service will work, so any information you would like to offer would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks. :)
