About 6 weeks ago. After reading how Statins can damage your memory .I stopped giving them to my wife.It may have been longer.I Told only my sister about this.In the last few weeks . people who know my wife have said they thought she was better than the last time they saw her.I replaced the Statins with anti choliesterol tablets.plus Benecol etc.nothing else seemed to be helping her.so i think i is worth a try.Iwill get her Choliestrol checked end of September. I will keep you updated .

I was very sceptical about Benecol, GP put me on statins and suggested Benecol, which I started to take. Other health problems were discovered which might have accounted for very odd symptoms I was having - odd pains not explainable or really describable. GP stopped statins, I have kept on with the Benecol, my levels are still down a year later. The odd pains have stopped.

I feel happier without statins, but that is just my personal view.
