Morning,
I have just spoken to my Mum who was diagnosed with Alzheimers in April this year. She mentioned this morning that she is having trouble spelling. She finds it really difficult. i told her to try and spell phonetically. Any help/ advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hello @Melliemellie

Is your mum talking about when she is handwriting or using a phone or computer?

It`s difficult to make suggestions without knowing more but if she is handwriting do you think she would benefit by using a children's picture dictionary.

Something like this springs to mind but there are many others available.

Could you persuade your mum that it doesn't matter? If she is able to spell phonetically (although this might also be tricky for her), you could perhaps persuade her that that's the modern way of doing things. If she feels embarrassed by not being able to spell, then perhaps @Grannie G 's suggestion is more appropriate.
