Attendance and carers allowance . What's the difference ? Is carers means tested , who qualifies etc ...same also attendance . What's the criteria ?

Dealing with different sets of parents , different ailments . I'm confusing myself.

I have POA for dad, (havnt sorted health as yet with mum) , can I get info from Drs, copy letters etc?

Attendance Allowance is for the person with dementia/other disability. It is not means-tested but needs-based.

Carers Allowance is for the carer of the person with dementia who gets Attendance Allowance. It is not means-tested in the sense that they look at your savings but you cannot earn more than £110 a week.

It's for mum . She gets AA for dad , I just wondered re carers . She gets half state pension . I don't think she would get C.A.

Need to look at other parents now
