My Mum unplugs and pulls out phone lines. We've managed to cover the plug sockets but can't find anything to cover the BT phone socket. Has anybody seen a product that would do the trick?

Cheapest way is an LJU (line jack unit) captive bar

Remove the two screws, place bar over plug and attach with screws.
Alternatively fabricate your own bar and save on P&P

You don't say which type of socket your mum has? This Google search shows pictures of some of the types in use. Most common these days is the NTE5 Master Socket.

I cannot see any covers specific for phone sockets, however, if your mum's are the NTE5, then these are roughly the same dimensions (L and W) as a mains single outlet. So you may be able to adapt a mains outlet cover for use on the NTE5? Something like this:-
