Social Services - Dementia Intervention Team referral ?

Does anyone know about specialist dementia intervention team that can be referred by a social worker in the MHT ....she claims to have made a referral but says that it was rejected...

Should I ask for a copy of the referral and reasons for rejections or just accept it?

There is so much different terminology it`s difficult to understand what is being referred to or about.

My husband was referred to the Mental Health Team [ MHT ] by the consultant and the social worker was not involved until the MHT were with us. There was no talk of a specialist dementia intervention team .

All you can do is ask for clarification.

Nothing much to be lost by asking. It is important to be clear about who is who and which body they work for.
