SO MANY MORE JUST LIKE YOU



To see the tiredness in their eyes

And listen to their night time cries,

Is so very hard for some to do,

For the likes of me and you,







Dementias curse comes around,

Envelopes all, without a sound,

Yet anguished cries soon appear,

Along with temper and the tears,







You ask yourself so many times?

Have we committed such a crime?,

To bring this to our loving door,

And be cursed like this forevermore







Please take heart, you're not alone

Sitting by that silent phone,

Many more are just like you,

Bewildered, puzzled at what to do.



Please reach out, ask around,

So much info does abound,

So many people just like you

Asking all, what do I do?

Thanks for those words, I understand it's language (I'm in the same journey too).

Honestly I don't feel coursed.

Honestly I don't ask why me.

I'm blessed -- I have a faith in a Higher Power of my understanding, a wonderful family, friends, attend AD & AA (Dr. Bob & Bill W.) fellowship meetings with wonderful folks that "understand my language" & healthcare providers.

Fear, Anxiety, Deptession, Sadness, mood swings, among other feelings are a reality to me & my dear wife.

I honestly I'm thankful to the Higher Power of my understanding, because my loved ones are well health wise, we have a roof over our heads, food .... , ther're other souls / folks in differend parts of the globe in worse situation than I.

Thase are helpful ... in my "tool box"
1) the Serenity Prayer
2) having a daily attitude of thanks giving to the Higher Power of my understanding.
3) Easy does it / Baby steps / One moment at a time / 24 hrs., segments.

What doesn't "kills me" -- increases my faith in ... & makes me stronger.
