So did a quick email to care home and the MIL has had no issues and she has even done an exercise class! Back home on Saturday but feel like I've had a month off not just 12 days! The never ending headache has gone and felt so much better energy wise, it also seems that the BIL did not bother visiting from UK - I am not surprised.

It sounds as if your batteries are fully charged, and I bet the MIL's are as well.

Glad you are feeling better @Donkeyshere. I had a feeling bil wouldn't bother if he couldn't stay in your mum's annex. Hope all goes well when you get home, and your mother in law settles back at home.
