Rivastigmine dose

Hello everyone,
My mother was diagnosed with dementia in September. She was prescribed 1.5mg Rivastigmine twice a day. This was increased to 3mg in January and will increase again to 4.5mg as of next week. It will then increase again to 6mg in a month. Is this the normal progression?

My Mum was diagnosed with mixed dementia in 2016 and because she other medical conditions she has to take Rivastigmine in Transdermal patch form. They started her off with a lower dose of 4.6mg per 24 hours and, as there was no adverse reaction they increased it to 9.5mg per 24 hours which she has been on ever since. Hope this helps.
