hi we are looking for respite care options for mum in Bournemouth and Dorchester areas. Other than council lists, what’s the best way to hear about quality of care. I don’t live in Dorset and very understandably my mums primary carer is understandably too exhausted to ask around and also still not keen, but it’s heading quite quickly to needing these options as he is getting unwell. Any suggestions very welcome Thank you

Good morning @Esa and welcome to Dementia Talking Point.

The rules of the forum prevent members from recommending specific facilities. You might get some information through looking at inspection reports on homes -

Hello @Esa, and welcome from me too.

A post code search for care home reviews can be made on the web-site that can be reached by clicking the following link. I can't vouch for the reviews but it may help give you a starting point from which to draw upma short list for further enquiry. https://www.carehome.co.uk/
