I have just read that a new "national mission" has been announced to tackle dementia in memory of the late Dame Barbara Windsor. Boris Johnson said the government will commit an extra £95m in research funding, meeting a manifesto commitment to double funding for research into treatment to £160m by 2024. I hope this is true.

I also hope that it is true. But it is not just research that is needed, people with dementia and their families/carers, need to be treated by the health and social services far better than they currently are.

I agree. Anything on a practical level that could help us with unmanageable fuel prices with lights on 24/7 to prevent falling and the washing machine going non stop to keep up with the washing of bedding and soiled clothes would be great.
