Hi @Bollasm , Would they come and visit your mum at home. We never managed to get mum to the memory clinic. We once got her there by not telling her where we were off to, but when she realised where she was she refused to talk to the nurse. I think in that case if the nurse had taken a softly softly, let's just have a chat approach she might have got somewhere, but she just immediately backed off.
In the end mum had a meltdown in the doctor's surgery and the psychiatrist from the mental health team came and visited her unannounced. We weren't there for that visit but he spoke to my brother on speaker phone so he could contribute to the discussion. We also had a visit from an Occupational Therapist. In that case I didn't tell mum until about five minutes before she arrived.
It's bloody tough isn't it.

Hi the referrals were home visits the first we thought she had cancelled but it was another appointment she had cancelled so on the day thought luck was in everything was ready then they rang to say the specialist was sick. I was so upset since then had a few stressful moments once week two weeks ago she was so agitated nearly rang for ambulance intact I had three dangerous times no medicine to treat this. I've Benn crying alot past.few days think it's time to ask for help another referral was put forward when we had the bad week but to my dismay cancelled the lady at memory clinic felt so sorry for me. Now the go told me he can not do anymore for her till she realises but she forgetting loads of things stepdaf around her 24_7 God it's so hard never experience so much emotion and horrible disease I wish you well please keep in touch though not always on line
