Relative banned from care home

Just caught part of a story, on 'You and Yours' about someone banned from visiting a relative. I wonder how common this is?

On the programme he seemed to suggest that the reason was because he had complained to the CQC about deficiencies at the Home and then at a subsequent Inspection they agreed and found others.

However this newspaper article suggests something else.

So, if you make a throwaway remark like "I was so frustrated I could have choked her" that would be grounds for banning you in case you carried out your frustrations?

If that is how they are behaving a few of us on here at times would be banned!
