My husband was diagnosed with Corticobasal Degenerative Syndrome in July 2013 we are devastated it is progressing quite quickly, we have support from Young Dementia Uk.
Because it's so rare they have no one else in Oxford with this diagnosis is there anyone who is going through the same ?

Hello Bayview

I presume CDS is cognitive dysfunction syndrome, but don`t really know what it is unless it is another form of dementia.

I have posted it in full just in case others who have heard of it will reply to you.

It`s good you are getting help from Young Dementia UK. Please stay with us for additional support from TP.

Now that you have clarified the meaning of CDS as 'Corticobasal Degenerative Syndrome' others may be able to help.

You could ask mods/admin to change the thread title, this may attract more attention.

I have found that it is also termed 'Corticobasal Degeneration Syndrome' or simply 'Corticobasal Degeneration' which is often abreviated to CBD http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/corticobasal-degeneration/Pages/symptoms.aspx

There are at least two other threads about CBD in talking point, you could send a personal message to the posters involved.
