The following programme is on Radio Scotland on Sunday. I think it can be listened to online by using the site:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/scotland/radioscotland/ and looking at Daily listings.

Imagine your own brother not recognising you. Imagine your wife driving up the wrong side of the motorway and not knowing why. Imagine a bride being walked down the aisle by a father who doesn't remember who she is, or why he's there. These are just some of the symptoms of Alzheimer's, a type of Dementia that will affect an increasing number of us within the next 20 years.

In the first of two programmes, Polly Phillips follows the stories of Dementia sufferers and their families, one of them her brother Peter, as they attempt to cope with an illness that scrambles memory and can make life almost unbearable for loved ones.'

I don't know if I'll be able to listen to it on Sunday as I doubt if my husband will want to hear it. I will try to listen to it online at a different time.

Cheers
