I am sure I have seen it somewhere, but would someone please guide me through adding "quotes". Sorry to be so thick. Thanks, Connie

Hiya Connie,
1)Type (QUOTE) must be in square brackets and capitals.
2) Copy and paste the bit you want straight after the closing bracket.
3)Type (/QUOTE) straight after the pasted bit. Don't leave any spaces.
I'm wondering what this will do when I try to post it. Will it try and insert a "quote". I'll soon see. I was the "thick " one who had to get Brucie instructions last time, still get it wrong at times!
Hope it works, if not I am sure Bruce will put us right!

Had to edit this as it did insert a quote, so I have had to change the square brackets to round ones, but they should be square! Hope you understand what I am on about.

Using this method is fine for short one liners, but longer, multiparagraph quotes needs you to type in the start and finish of the text quoted.

I am about to add a new thread in the Computer Tips area on this subject.

Hi Connie

the second QUOTE is preceded by a slash '/' character, so it is /QUOTE with that in square brackets.

Nearly there....

Actually, you had already done it, hadn't you? But our messages crossed somewhere over south east England.... ;)

Good work! :D
