Thank you so much for your words Shelagh they mean such a lot. John is actually my husband and is only 56 our children are just 9 and 11. They have adjusted very well and are now beginning to remember their dad how he was before the Alzheimers got really bad which is lovely.

Jackie I am so sorry for getting the relationship confused, Alzheimer's fault I think not mine. Keep well and hold on to the love you and and still have though it may be hidden. Love never dies
