My mother had been diagnosed last year and yes she gets AA, but at the moment only the lower rate as she doesn't need help at night. She also got her Council tax down to nilAs far as gov.uk is concerned dementia with no co-morbidities would appear to qualify for Disability Living Allowance and therefore must be a disability.
