My mother is in the final stages of dementia and suffers severe agitation despite sedation. This results in her thrashing around on the floor which produces skin lesions as well as obviously being an unsafe situation. Are there any products out there, similar to a child's playpen that I might be able to use to cushion and contain her?

Susan, are the leasions from the carpet, or from knocking herself on furniture etc.

When Lionel falls in his room at the home, if it is through agitation, they surround him with extra duvets and pillows and leave him to calm down.

Don't know quite what else to suggest.
