Prevalence of Alzheimers in Wirral

hello its me again, i was just wondering whether anybody knows where i can get hold of relativley up to data statistics about the approximate number of alzheimer's disease patients in certain regions of the UK? ive been searching for ages on the internet to try and get hold of data about the Wirral region of the UK and ive had absolutley no joy yet!
if anybody could point me in the right direction i'd really appreciate it!

I suspect that no data - even if it exists in a standard form - will be available for public use over the Internet.

Actually, I suspect that:
  • the precise numbers are not known anyway
  • people are often diagnosed as having Alzheimer's when the precise dementia is uncertain
  • many people have a combination of dementias
  • many people who have dementia are undiagnosed because relatives are caring for them at home and they are - as yet - uncounted
The figure given across the whole country by the Alzheimer's Society is an estimate.

I suspect that Bruce is correct.
You could try a letter to the Director of Public Health at the local Health Authority,don't hold your breath
