I am 'dozy' and admit it How do you include a quote in a message .
when I try this/I highlite the part of the message I want to quote but end up with the whole of the message in the quote

What you do is press the Quote button. That does insert the whole original message into your response box, and then you just delete anything you don't want (taking care keep the whole set of < quote > around the text you want to quote).

Yes I did! Proud of it too - I can keep using it now and have done.

Not a dummy question at all, Donalda.

You have to choose a title when you start a new thread, usually something to indicate what the thread is about.

But there's no need to put a titls on every post, unless you want to draw attention to one particular point.

Some people use the title to address one particular member. I don't like that, because posts are for everyone, and it can mean people feel excluded. But that's my own feeling, others don't agree.

It's very rare that I give a title to an individual post.

I didnt know you felt like that about titles. :(
I nearly always use a title, especially if someone has answered something specific or referred to something else, but it is never intended to exclude anyone.
If I wanted to exclude, I`d send a PM.
I shall certainly watch my titles in future. :eek:
