Well i was thinking that that are trying to find out the lay of the land incase he goes in for respite but does not come out, as like ive said to others - that can happen . I would think she would have told them she doesnt have 23000 and yet she is still having to fill in this form, she put him into respite last year when she went on holiday for a week and i think she must have filled in something similiar too as i remember her saying they wanted to know what savings etc she had,

I think that it is because she has confirmed that his savings are below £23k that the LA are asking for detailed financial information, so they can work out what he will contribute and what the LA will pay. If he had more than £23k LA would not contribute and he would be self-funding.

Oh right i see, makes they think they are looking in advance to see if there a chance they can get him in a home, had a talk with hubby and he think his dad will be in a home sometime in the next year.
