Hi everyone, My dads lung collapsed on Monday night and this has really weakened him. He's in hospital and his Parkinson's and dementia seem to have deteriorated since.

Just before the procedure of putting a chest drain in he asked me to ask everyone to pray for him, so here goes - please pray for my dad! I'm not religious at all, but juuuust in case a little prayer can't hurt :)

Thanks :)

I totally agree......prayer cannot hurt.... and if your Dad can be comforted, knowing that people are thinking of him, then he can concentrate on his own healing.
Thinking of you too...Maureen.x.

In the past we were comforted by prayer and many have forgotten or never learned how to do that. When someone is very ill or dying then all of the modern shibboleths are as nothing. What they need is someone or something ancestral to grip onto. Whatever your beliefs I think we all need to appreciate that there are forces we need when we are in extremis.
