Hi,

Are people with Alzheimer's prone to infections such as chest?

Why does a temperature make Alzheimer's worse?

Also skin problems? Even if kept clean.

People in the later stages of dementia are more prone to infections because their immune system is not working properly.
Infection, inflammation, general anaesthetic, broken bones etc all play havoc with dementia and although the dementia symptoms improve once they recover, it will often progress their dementia. Im not sure that anyone knows exactly why, although there have been some theories.
