Organise a Dementia Friend?

Hi all, my dad is in a care home and has mid-stage dementia. There seems to be little or no stimulation at the home, especially in the later afternoon/evenings; his worse time (lack of staff doesn’t help). Dad doesn’t really like the organised stuff anyway.
I live 200 miles away but try to visit x2 per fortnight. My Mum and sister will only visit x1 per week.
I wish he could have more 1to1 company so I wonder; has anyone ever brought in a ‘paid visitor’? maybe a dementia friend or similar, to visit their relative? Do you think this would be viable? I’m happy to pay.
