Online access to medical records as H&W attorney

Hello ,
Has anyone any experience as a Health and Welfare attorney of accessing medical records online.? My father,who is in the later stages of Alzheimers was deemed to have no capacity over his medications[ by the psychogeriatrician] a number of years ago.
I am finding the attitudes to Attorneys [H&W and P&F] less than helpful at times. At the moment i am struggling to get information from my fathers surgery . My father is 92,frail and in a specialist Alzheimer/Dementia care home.
Any advice would be gratefully received, Thank you

Thank you Kevini.
I have e.mailed the surgery earlier today to find out more. I wrote a letter to them asking for information on my father on 10th August,have chased this up several times, but have still had no reply to my questions.
I therefore thought if I could get online access it might be easier. , and just wondered if anyone here had had experience of trying to get it. I am away from home a lot and am either 80miles away from my father or 540 , so it is difficult

UPDATE

After many struggles for information from my fathers current medical practice , I sent in a letter to the practice manager and filled in a Formal request for Online access to medical records [as dads H&W attorney] and have now got online access to his records !! which is brilliant. I am restricted somewhat in what I can access,but have information on his current problems,his medications,when he has been seen by a doctor etc etc. I still have not had the results from the 24hr heart tape which I requested 2 months ago ,or a reply to my written letter to the doctor, [some of my questions in the letter are now irrelevant anyway ,as dad has deteriorated so much], but I can view the results of his blood tests.
I still find the attitudes to attorneys ,H&W in particular, pretty dreadful, But I do feel this was a fantastic result , and thought others might be interested to know they can do this.
It is particularly helpful in my case as I am 80 miles away from my father.
