I'm so sorry about all you are having to deal with Aisling. I think it's always worrying anyway when there are difficulties in getting someone to eat and drink but you, in addition, have so many other things going on. You and T are in my thoughts.
Aisling I am so sorry for the stress you're dealing with right now. Good luck with your meetings on Tuesday - your sister will be with you?
If T's present NH can't cope with the behavioural issues that are cropping up, then I so hope that you can find a NH that CAN deal with them.
Thing is, deterioration (however you want to describe it - physical, mental, whatever) is a given. It won't get better, no matter how much you want it to. It's not of your doing, it's the progress of the disease.
Mum's NH always (AFAIK) has male carers on duty - there are some hefty male residents in there - the place couldn't function fully without them!
Under FD you can transfer to another NH with approval x
Hi Aisling. Just sending continued virtual support and a hug.
Keep posting. Keep posting.

Aisling, hope today goes as well as it can for you and T. Only two more days till you get to talk to someone. Fingers crossed and hugs. X
Forgot to say goodluck Aisling
My Dad can lash out and did in one nursing home, tbf another resident used to constantly follow him around and invade his space constantly even when seated, there is a 3 strikes and your out'rule' at some of these places,so after 3 incidents dad was moved,it turned out better for him and he doesnt lash out anymore where he is now but things can change,he went through a stage of throwing his dentures away, must of paid for 6 pairs and they not cheap as the hse only pay for one every 5 year.Anyway hope you get some anserws and some form of peace soon.
How did Tuesday's meeting go Aisling? Thinking of you both x
