Dad's just had a month in respite care in a city council dementia resource centre and they've been wonderful. So welcoming and patient and kind. Tomorrow he has to move to a private nursing home for another 2 weeks. It's all been very rushed 'cos I thought he would be going home, and now find that he isn't. It was only decided yesterday. Went to see it this morning and it looks awful. Lots of people lined up in chairs like a station waiting room ...... but nowhere to go. He'll have to go there because I've not had chance to find an alternative and the council place won't keep him. Must find somewhere else as soon as possible. Does this nightmare never end?
