No Rinse Shower Cap

I used no rinse shampoo with R when I couldn't get him in the shower! It worked well as a stop gap.

Great as a stop gap as Jan says. My mum's carers have used one occasionally when she's been ill in bed. The no rinse products tend to leave a sticky residue but the next day you can follow up with a 'rinse' with a flannel and a bowl of warm water.

You can do a satisfactory hair wash just with the bowl of water technique, using a very sparing amount of shampoo and then removing it with the damp flannel. Make sure the room is really warm and drape large dry towels over the person so they aren't exposed to draughts.
