Hi Saffie
My mums case is still ongoing, and we're still not paying.
It's amazing how the NHS carry out an assessment based on six weeks of evidence
withdraw FFC based on incorrect record keeping which you can prove to be flawed. In a separate assessment with a Social worker at my mothers care home the RGN and carer both admitted in the meeting that the daily notes incident/behaviour reports were not fully updated and recorded. I'm still waiting for a copy of this report will it
have recorded this information,I would very much doubt it.
The original social worker has now moved on and the new senior social worker's
prime interest is to get at any potential funds my mother holds without any questions of how my mother's health is. Funny how I could never get a social worker to respond when my mother needed to go into a care home they always said it was the mental health's teams responsibility.
I now have two appeals on the go with the NHS first started last Feb. Am finally being threatened by the LA to have my mothers care withdrawn by social services for not returning the means test form from last June (which they forgot to chase up) and now for this current year.Am now forced to seek legal advice, the whole process seems very one sided.
I just hope other people are managing to win what seems will be a yearly battle.
Sorry for the rant
