I have just found out that my husband is coming off of Section 3 and this means he could in theory be moved out of the hospital to a suitable care home hopefully fingers crossed nearer to me.

Has anyone been at this stage and if so what is the procedure please.

Is he being moved to a section 117?

If so choice of homes may be limited.

Thank you for the useful link. Yes he is being moved under 117. I have a meeting next week so I now feel a bit more prepared.

I am afraid being off of Section three does not help me move my husband nearer as he can only be managed with hospital care for the foreseeable future.

It`s such a damaging illness @Rosebay. Heartbreaking.
