I keep in touch with my husband's nephew in Wellington New Zealand and he sent me this article which makes interesting reading. This is indeed a global issue and not a single country has resolved it.

My BIL (Johns brother) died in a care home from dementia as did their father and grandfather. Of course my nephew worries about his future.

Many aspects in Scotland are better but it seems to me that the main benefits accrue to those who have someone to fight their corner. I have been doing this for five years so far but does there come a time when you just can't keep going?

I agree about having someone to fight your corner. I fought my mum's and Bill's corner for 15 years. Not everyone is on a position to do that. There were times when I thought I was going under.
