Hello ,
Just formally learnt that my wife has early Alzheimer’s .
Now I am understanding reasons for all the arguments & discussions . Also all the duplication
and collection of clothes , food & other shopping .

Just read a brilliant article on compassionate & patient talking .
Will try & read more on the forum.
Just wondered .. if any info on what a person feels when you need to repeat questions on
asking time , day, events & simple connections ,..??

Thanks

The patient feels like it is the first time they have asked the question.

The carer feels like strangling the patient, but fortunately self-control usually prevails.

Hello@Vincebeer I’m so sorry that you find yourself in this situation,
Unfortunately the constant repetition is something that drives most of us to distraction and you would have to be a saint not to get frustrated at times.
Im afraid that there is no easy solution.

As@MartinWL says you might feel very frustrated and have to learn to practice self control…Not very easy…I know.
Try not to fee guilty when you get annoyed at answering the same question over and over again. Everyone on here has felt the same.

Thank you for your replies. See the need for understanding.
Just been to a carers group which was helpful.
