As you can see no uniform meant, longs, no ties, and more importantly no caps.
Did you still have to wear hats, different ones for summer and winter, and knell to show that your skirt was not too short? My wife did.

We still had to wear shoes with 'rubber or part rubber heels' for safety on the stone stairs, didn't understand that and still don't.
Part rubber was a segment of rubber at the back of a leather heel, useful really because this could be cheaply replaced without the need for a whole heel

I’ve just discovered that this is on the Welcome to TP section!
So why is this thread called New Look?!
Must be confusing for a new member!

Nitram - you are older than I thought you were (by at least 5 years) and New Look to me means the shop where teenage girls go (ie daughter for both casual and 6th form clothes)

Where has "My posts" gone to?

If you click on your avatar picture you'll get a summer of your profile page. In the right hand column, four down, you'll see 'your content'. If you click on that you'll get a list of your posts.
