I don't know about anyone else but I've been reading today's dreadful news about the latest covid stories and am DREADING, DREADING another lockdown. I don't know how I'll cope, getting out and about is not only essential to my mum's well being but mine too. I'm convinced that the last lockdown hastened my dad's death, I think he thought it was his only way out. How did people cope with the last lockdown?

Hi @taliahad dad died the month before lockdown s I went from dads sofa to my own sofa and I am fed up with it. I have a great deal of admiration for anyone dealing with caring during the lockdown because it cannot be easy. I think I may have gone under if I was still looking after dad especially with the isolation. It is bad enough just grabbing an hour to yourself but not being able to meet other people or socialise in any way is awful. It's human nature to have friends and socialise even just for a chat. I often used to take half an hour with a coffee in our local Asda's cafe just to people watch. It was my escape but now it's a McDonalds.

I am happy to take extra precautions like mask wearing etc (I do this anyway) but I must be able to meet up with other people once in a while and I hope that you are able to. Carers are already isolated enough and another lockdown would not be helpful.

Hopefully it will not come to that, I hope not.
