On the radio the other day I listened to a carer who had written a book on the subject called something like--
" the selfish pigs guide to caring"

Has anyone heard of it or read it?

I think you mean this one 'The Selfish Pig's Guide to Caring' by Hugh Marriott. ISBN - 0-7515-3709-8

Dunno if it is any good but might buy it anyway.

I can recommend it: it is an easy book to dip into, no need to read from cover to cover, as not every chapter will apply to your situation. It is written in a down-to-earth and light-hearted style, which is quite obvious from the title, and I am still occasionally tempted to refer to my lovely husband as my 'piglet', in the nicest possible way and with a big smile on my face.

PIGLET is the word Hugh Marriott is using for Patient/Cared-for-Person/Loved One/Disabled Person .......
