The publishing team at Alzheimer's Society is very pleased to announce the publication of Taking part: activities for people with dementia. This is a revised and updated version of Alzheimer’s Society's book of activities. The book contains new ideas and case studies which are listed in themed chapters such as computers and the internet, reminiscence and gardening.

As well as suggestions for structured and planned activities, the book contains a wide selection of ideas for adapting everyday tasks and simple ways for people with dementia and carers to enjoy time spent together.

This is a resource that is aimed at professional carers although it is relevant for anyone providing care and support to a person with dementia. Any day care service or care home would find it an extremely valuable resource and the book features examples of activities from a variety of care settings including people in their own homes.

The book is £30 and is available to purchase from the online shop on the Alzheimer's Society website here.
