Hi everyone
Apologies in advance as I am new to this forum.
My lovely Mum has been told that she definately has dementia but her neurologist is yet to confirm which type (she has final memory tests next week).
My question is, my brother and I would really like to be at the neurologists with Mum when she gets her diagnosis BUT my step-Dad will also be there and we obviously don't want to 'crowd' Mum. The problem is that my step Dad doesn't seem to be taking everything in so when we ask him questions, he doesn't seem to know certain things. This is absolutely fine as we know he also has a lot to digest so...A) can one of us attend the app with Mum and my Step-Dad or B) does the neurologist compile a report that we can see afterwards?
If anyone can shed any light, that would be a great help.
Thanks very much.
